A Corny Chowder and Other Punny Tales

Soup, soup and more soup. Soup-wit you?

Here’s to Fall and soup season being upon us! Another thing that I think is vastly appropriate is a good pun. I mean, who doesn’t love something punny?

This is a recipe that really just boils down to a good corn. I use it often because it is simple, easy and does not require expensive ingredients. I don’t need a lot from the store to make it so it is budget friendly for sure. I even find this recipe easier than a baked potato soup (and much tastier too!)

Corn and Cheese Chowder

The intern and friend we have living with us right now does not like cooked onions. Whereas I would normally have a whole chopped onion in the pot, I left the onion out for him and added more bell pepper. I always add way more corn to this soup and life because it makes it heartier!!!

Here is a look at my soup once I added the cream and stock.

Here is the finished and plated product with the addition of green onions and lots of cheese. I really pack on the cheese.

Add this to your meal arsenal. It is super tasty.
